Chuck Kulberg, RV-6A
After a nine year effort my standard build 6A, N425FC, flew last August.
There have been no real squawks other than getting cht's cooler, which has
been accomplished. To date I have enjoyed 115 hrs of trouble free flying.
Just this week it did it's first aileron rolls and the "RV Grin" got bigger
than ever. The RV is really an incredible airplane. I can lope around @ 1900
RPM-125mph & 4.8gph or scorch along @ 185 mph and really burn some gas. How
cool is that!
I wanted to keep it fairly simple. Here's the basics-
- Engine - Aerosport 0320-E2D, 150HP
- Ignition - Left/mag. Right/Electroair
- Prop -Sensenich Metal
- Trim - Manual, Elevator & aileron
- Instruments -
- Standard 6 pack/vacum gyros
- RMI Engine Monitor
- Com./transp./encoder./intercom
- Electronic lift reserve indicator(very cool)
- Paint - Sherwin Williams Acri-Glow metallic.
