Here is our RV-9A, which was constructed over 3 years from a quickbuild kit by my father, Ray Dann and myself. The first flight was on October 9, 2003 with Tom Irlbeck at the controls.  N208RD has a Lycoming O-320 E2A 150 hp engine with a 77 in. metal Sensenich prop.  It has a indicated cruise speed of about 155 mph at 22 in manifold pressure.   It tops out somewhere around 180 mph.   Arden Johnson assisted during the construction.   Ray is flying off the test time, probably around 10 hours now.   The airplane is based at Glencoe.  I’m a student pilot, just getting started with my training at Flying Cloud through Thunderbird.   -- Jerry Dann
