After three winters of work, the first flight was May 2, 1999. Although sometimes challenging, I enjoyed the building process and am now building a Skyraider II.</div> <bR> <div> The RV-6A has an 0-320, 160 hp Aero Sport engine from British Columbia. I installed a Garmin 250XL GPS/comm, Garmin transponder, full gyros, and an S-Tec autopilot.</div> <bR> <div> It is a great airplane. I have enjoyed several trips; west to the Rockies, northern Alberta, Texas, southern Ontario, Oshkosh and many short trips for brunch and shopping.</div> <bR> <div> I can remember thinking I would never get this finished, but now I have over 300 hours on it.
